Barnett III @jclbarne3 calls this 'Radiant Ascent'Radiant Ascent was born from grief, gratitude, and remembrance. The painting is a tribute to my dear friend, Ramona Daniels, an extraordinary artist whose creativity left a lasting imprint on Kokomo. Originally from Philadelphia, Ramona poured beauty into our community and inspired countless people through her work.The central figure is an abstract bird rising into brilliant rays of light. Rather than portraying loss, I wanted to capture transcendence. The movement upward symbolizes a life that continues beyond what we can see, while the radiant colors celebrate the joy, passion, and creativity Ramona shared so freely.For me, this piece is a reminder that artists never truly leave us. Their work, their influence, and the lives they touch continue to rise long after they are gone. Radiant Ascent is both a farewell and a celebration, a visual expression of a soul whose light continues to shine. Thank you J.C. @jclbarne3 for blessing us with such a beautiful piece of art!
